We know patients have questions, and we try to answer each question as best we can. We have listed some of the most frequently asked questions to help you better understand our practice.
Where is First Care located?
First Care Clinic is conveniently located in North Naples at 1201 Piper Blvd which is at the northern end of Airport-Pulling Road where it intersects with Immokalee Road.
How can I make an appointment?
We can generally accommodate patients on the same or next day. Simply call us at 239-260-5307 for an instant response and confirmation, or you can simply walk in and we will see you at the next available time.
What exactly is a Primary Care medical practice?
We are medical providers on Piper Blvd in Naples, Florida. This refers to the diagnosis and treatment of routine medical issues. We place an emphasis on wellness, and that means working hard to keep our patients healthy and out of the hospital. Our most frequent patient visits concern routine issues and we generally handle all these routine issues in the practice. Occasionally we need to refer a patient to a specialist. If a referral is necessary, we will assist the patient to make the appointment. (See our First Care Network of Care) .
Who will treat me?
We have several medical professionals on staff. Our Medical Director is a board certified internal medicine doctor and others are physician’s assistants or “PA”. A PA sees most patients and is professionally trained much like a physician and has significant experience as a primary care provider. The staff also includes a medical assistant who will check your weight, vital signs, etc., and our patient services manager who will help you solve any service and convenience needs.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5PM. We are closed New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most forms insurance. A comprehensive list is posted on our website .
How much do you charge, and how can I pay?
Virtually all forms of insurance, both private and government plans set the rate for what they will reimburse and we do not have any control over those rates. Many plans also require a co-pay from you, which is typically the only charge you are expected to pay at the time of service. If you are not covered by insurance, you are still very welcome in our practice. The self-pay rates for services may vary depending on your treatment, but you can normally anticipate a range of $75.00 to $150.00 depending on the treatment you received. We accept all major credit cards.
What if I need a blood test?
If a blood test is needed, we will draw the blood in our lab. There isn’t any need for you to travel to a lab center for blood testing. We deliver the blood to a lab and have most results for you in 24 to 48 hours. Some tests we run on premises such as hemoglobin A1c and those results are available during your visit. We also have on premises testing and instant results during your visit for the flu, random glucose checks, strep and pregnancy.
Does First Care treat children?
We do treat children ages five and older. We believe a pediatrician familiar with childhood diseases and issues best treats children under five.
